A07 Senior Advisor – Complaints, Integrity, and Workplace Relations

Location: Brisbane Head Office (with 2 days WFH flexibility) Hours: 7.25 hours/day (Full-Time)

Join a large, essential Queensland Government agency that employs over 400 people and plays a critical role in promoting Safety and Health standards across the state's key industrial sectors. This organisation is headquartered in Brisbane, with operations across regional hubs. They offer an environment that values work-life balance, providing two days of work from home (WFH) flexibility per week.

The Opportunity: Lead, Triage, and Advise

We are seeking an experienced and highly autonomous A07 Senior Advisor to establish and lead a new function focused on integrity, governance, and complex workplace matters. This is a critical role that requires a dedicated professional ready to work independently and drive outcomes immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Triage & Strategic Management: Independently manage and coordinate the full lifecycle of external submissions, internal employee grievances, and sensitive workplace relations cases.

  • Establish and Own the Portfolio: Establish best practice processes for this new, standalone portfolio, working autonomously and reporting directly to the Lead within a compact team of five.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Utilise exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to advise and communicate effectively with senior leaders and the CEO.

  • Specialist Workplace Advice: Provide expert advice on complex workplace relations matters, working collaboratively alongside Human Resources colleagues where appropriate.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Expert Triage & Resolution: Proven ability to independently manage and resolve complex grievances, disputes, and external complaints.

  • Specialist Workplace Relations Knowledge: In-depth understanding and practical application of relevant employment law, industrial relations practices, and best-practice HR principles.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience providing updates and advice directly to senior leaders.

  • Autonomy and Integrity: Proven ability to establish and lead this new, standalone function with sound judgment, discretion, and minimal supervision.
